PHILIP LENTEK, Community Organizer
Profile
Philip Lentek has over 13 years of working in several organizations such as World vision and Christian Children Fund on child sponsorship, child rights, food security and capacity building particularly for women. He has also worked extensively in areas of improved health, women empowerment and construction of schools in the arid and semi arid district of Kajiado. Philip’s assignments have involved organization of community meetings, community budgeting, and conflict resolution. He has also worked in partnership with the Government administration, CBOs and NGOs in the same locality.
Currently Lentek works with Maji Na Ufanisi as a Community Organizer; mobilizing communities for training and space identification for the implementation. This he does in collaboration with others stakeholders. He ensures sustainability of the Water and Sanitation project in Soweto East Slum (Kibera) through community involvement.
