EVE WANZA, Hospitality Assistant
Profile
The youngest member of Maji Na Ufanisi, Eve, has volunteered with Initiative for Sports and Social Arts (ISSA) as an Assistant Organizing Secretary, in creating awareness on HIV and AIDS through organizing beauty contests such as the Mr & Miss Kibera in 2004 and 2006.
As a member of Soweto Youth Group based in Kibera she has been the General Secretary in the Environmental and Sanitation department: Her work has involved awareness creation through clean-ups and theatre.
She has also participated in development of IEC materials with NGO’s like Care Kenya and Peace Net Kenya.
Now at Maji Na Ufanisi, her duties involve maintenance of the office premises in terms of cleanliness and offering hospitality assistance to staff and clients.
She is c urrently training in Community Development and Social Work.
