 Profile

Charles has over 10 years of experience working in the Maa speaking district of Samburu with work extending to the neighboring Laikipia, Isiolo, Marsabit and Baringo districts, which are Arid districts of Kenya. He has worked in different capacities and on different water development projects both with the government and the NGO sector. He has accumulated adequate experience in planning, implementation and operations of small scale water and sanitation projects. He was the water reforms mover in Samburu district at the onset of water reforms in Kenya in 2003.

Charles comes with skills in participatory community mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, disaster preparedness and management, proposal writing, and enhancement of professional practice in partnerships. This is in addition to IWRM capacity building initiatives. Currently Charles is involved in the supervision and implementation of water and sanitation projects in the informal settlements besides developing a Rural and Small Towns Programme for Maji Na Ufanisi. He is a team player dedicated towards alleviation of water poverty amongst the marginalized.
